Hebat!

Hebat in Bahasa Indonesia is “Amazing.” Sister H. was commissioned last night (7 Apr ’11) at the closing service of SMDC convention held in Digos City (Davao del Sur). Together with the district officials of SMDC led by Rev. Lorenzo Panaguiton, the World Missions Director Joseph Suico commissioned Sister H. for a long-term missionary assignment in Indonesia.

Sister H. previously served as a short-term missionary to Bandung, Indonesia for a year under the Project Barnabas program of PGCAG World Missions Department.

She will be visiting the districts of PGCAG to raise support for her mission work. Please continue to pray for this cross-cultural ministry. You may contact the PGCAG office for further information on how to send financial support to her at 02 2926613.

IMB 2011

The church’s raison d etre (fancy F word for ‘reason for being’) is essentially Missions! IMB is for everyone. You can pick & choose topics of your interest or be counted for the total missions experience including a micro-mission trip to Zambales. This program is designed to provide the ‘basics’ of missions education – this is a must for missions directors in your churches as well as individual enthusiasts, and ooops, I almost forgot, pastors!

Commissioned!

Elvie Daradar was commissioned as a regular missionary to Cambodia last Sept. 28, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Roxas Mission (FARM) in Roxas City. She first served as a short-term missionary to Cambodia under the Project Barnabas program for a year.

Ms. Daradar comes from the Northwestern Visayas District Council (NWVDC). She was actively involved with the church planting thrust of FARM as field director for the Summer of Service (SoS) program for a significant number of years.

The Commissioning Service was attended by the District leaders of NWVDC under the leadership of District Superintendent Jessie Villagracia, Secretary Jino Lumbo, Tresurer Rose Posadas, Presbyters Pat Martinez (ECS), and, Rolly Payas (WCS).  The district superintendent of Western Visayas District Council, Rev. Jose Estrebilla also joined this blessed occasion.

The Executive Director of World Missions Department  Joseph Suico gave the charge to the missionary while our own Gen. Supt. and pastor of FARM  Rey Calusay preached the Word.

Ms. Pedregosa was home for a quick “pit stop.” She’s thankful to the Lord her doctor gave her a “clean bill of health.” Gina expressed her thanks to the department and especially to the churches of PGCAG who are faithful in their support for her ministry.
