What is Project Barnabas?
Harvesting takes time and a lot of effort. Often times requiring the help of others. Likewise in missions, missionaries on the field often need peoplewho could be of assistance to further ensure the effectivity of ministries established among the local people.
Barnabas, Son of Encouragement, is commonly known as the person who supported Paul. As Barnabas did to Paul, we would like to open short-term mission opportunities for people who feel they could be a “Barnabas” to missionaries on the field for a year. Th eir skill and experience could be a tool to help strengthen the faith of others and reinforce existing ministries. Similarly, missionaries who have been on the fi eld for several terms, could serve as a “Barnabas” by providing inspiration, mentoring and on-the-fi eld training to these people in the project.
